The Legion team is looking forward to hosting young ball players from the area next week (Monday, June 27th through Thursday, June 30th) at West Salem High School from 8am to Noon.

🚨IMPORTANT DROP-OFF, PICK-UP AND PARKING INFO🚨
Due to ongoing construction at West Salem parking/drop-off/pick-up will need to look different than in past years; the main campus is closed and fenced off so there is NO access to the high school parking lots.

Drop-off:

1. Please arrive early on your first day to allow time to check in and pay.
2. Plan to park either at Chapman Hill, Straub or other nearby locations and walk your child to the walkways/sidewalks on the Doaks Ferry side of WSHS that lead you to the outdoor basketball courts in-between the baseball fields (see map below 👇)
3. There will be Legion players posted at each walkway entrance ready to check you in and accept payments. 
4. If you are wanting to stay and watch your child participate in camp we recommend parking at Straub as Chapman Hill's parking is limited due to their own construction. 

Pick-up:

1. Please plan to meet your child after camp and walk them back to your car. 
2. There will be legion players helping out and keeping kids safe near the street.

On Sunday at Thurston High School the West Salem Division 2 team completed a great weekend by defeating Churchill to claim their first tournament of the summer.  The weekend started off ominously, with the Titans tying Corvallis 6-6.  The game ended after 5 innings due to tourney time limit.  On Saturday, West turned the page and swept two games versus Marist (22-5) and Springfield (13-5) to springboard into the Sunday Championship.  

The championship game was the definition of a "barn-burner" as 22 runs were put up between the two teams.  While the Titans never trailed, Churchill stayed on West Salem's heels all game long.  In the end, the Titans came up with the 12-10 victory, claiming the Thurston D2 Baseball Tournament championship.

In the championship game AJ Watson (2), Bodie Edwards (2), Nolan Fredinburg (2), Micah Spencer (3), William Becker (2), and Jacob Turpin (2) all posted multi-hit games.  Micah Spencer added to his big day at the plate with 4 RBI; Wyatt Williams (2) also had a multi-RBI game.  Spencer, Jacob Ramillosa, Watson, Turpin, and Williams all doubled for the Titans.  Spencer, Aren Weber, and Edwards all pitched well in the final game.
