September 25, 2014: "Andy Armstrong goes from fixture to force at West Salem"
Andy Armstrong, entering his junior year at West Salem High School, has committed to play college baseball at Oregon State University. Andy, a first team all-league shortstop as a sophomore in 2014, also plays football and basketball for the Titans. Here are a couple recent articles on Andy via The Statesman Journal:
September 23, 2014: "West Salem's Andy Armstrong commits to Oregon State" September 25, 2014: "Andy Armstrong goes from fixture to force at West Salem" The fourth ranked Titans baseball team may not have made it as far as they'd like on the playing field in 2014, but academically they were number one in the state. At the 6A level in Oregon no baseball team performed better in the classroom than the Titans. Overall, the team earned a 3.65 GPA for the school year. When asked to comment on the impressive achievement no ballplayers were available (they were all studying).

Every Monday and Wednesday night, starting September 8th and ending October 29, OSU will host workouts for ballplayers in the area. OSU coaches, current players, and former professionals will be working with players at each session. A typical evening will look as follows:
