During the 2022 season McMullen had a minuscule 2.06 earned run average (1.54 in MVC play) and batters hit a putrid .196 against him. He also struck out an amazing 84 hitters in 48 innings pitched, which averages out to just over 12 strikeouts per 7 innings. Brody had solid pitching performances much of the year but two stood above the rest. Both against eventual playoff teams, Brody flat out shoved versus #15 ranked Mountain View ( 6 2/3 IP, 0 ER, 2 hits, 15 K's) and #7 ranked Clackamas (6 IP, 0 ER, 4 hits, 13 K's), earning the win in each game.
Tyler Rock came on strong in league, batting at a scorching .444 clip. In MVC contests Tyler was tied for the team lead in hits (eight) and led the team in RBI (six), home runs (one), and doubles (three). What's more impressive is that Tyler did this in only 19 league plate appearances (18 at-bats, with one HBP). Tyler's breakout game in 2022 came against McNary, where he went 3-4 with a home run, double, two runs scored, and four RBI.
Congrats to both Brody and Tyler on their accolades and outstanding seasons!
