Goudy Commons @ Willamette U (03.05.2018)
Each week the Salem Sports and Breakfast Club honors student-athletes from the area. Students from all sports are recognized for their excellence on the field. It takes place at Goudy Commons on the Willamette University campus. Typically, 3 or 4 student-athletes from various schools are recognized each Friday. Attendees enjoy breakfast and get to hear about the amazing work done by these athletes.

On Friday, senior Lucas Stanfield was one of the honorees. The 4 year letter winner has been off to a tremendous start on the hill for West Salem. Lucas is currently 4-0 on the season, accounting for 2/3 of the Titan's 6 wins. In his four starts Lucas has complied 36 K's over 22 1/3 innings pitched with an impressive 0.94 ERA. Opponents are currently batting a mere 0.163 against the senior hurler. Stanfield is the epitome of a leader on and off the field for West and well deserving of the honor. Congrats, Lucas!
