Summer Ball is around the corner. Sunny weather and summer ball; no better combo!
All current 9th-11th graders AND 8th graders (next year’s frosh) planning on being a part of the Spring ’24 baseball program are encouraged to attend.
As always, we work closely with other WSHS summer programs (FB, B-ball, Wrestling, etc.) so that you can be out for ball and play other sports. We know summer is a busy time and wouldn’t want you to not come out because of schedule issues.
Incoming 9th graders:
We’d love to see you all out there so we can get to know you. IF you make a team, we ask you to make your current youth team priority #1 and will work with your schedule so you can be with us when able. This is open to any 8th grade ballplayer, no matter their current team. We do NOT prioritize one level (JBO, LL, Cal Ripken, etc.) over another. ALL West Salem area players are welcome!
Summer Ball Options for West Players:
West players have 3 teams they can play on: Post 20 Dirtbags, D1 and, D2. Post 20 is for Varsity level players who want a step up in competition and a full summer schedule.

- Tryouts for Post 20 are NOT run by West and are held on a different date and location.
- D1 is typically comprised of older players who do not make Post 20 or choose not to play legion.
- D2 is commonly made up of a mix of next year’s 8th and 9th graders, as a well as a few 10th graders.
