Game one was a textbook pitchers duel, as West Salem's Brody McMullen and Summit's Kemper Treu went toe to toe for 7 innings. McMullen k'd 5 over his 6 innings pitched, while Treu stuck out 8 Titan batters. Only two of McMullen's runs were earned and one of those was on a wind-aided home run by Summit's Jack Clemens.
Game two was sung to a bit different tune as Summit's bats came to life; they knocked around West Salem pitchers for 9 hits and 13 runs. The Titans didn't do themselves any favors defensively, committing 7 errors in the second game.
West Salem will look to rebound next Tuesday, when they host cross town rival South Salem on Senior Day.
