Starter Brody McMullen was solid on the bump for West Salem, giving up just 1 earned run over 4 innings. Unfortunately, the Titans’ bullpen couldn’t replicate McMullen’s success as Central Catholic put up 15 runs on the Titans’ pitching staff following the starter’s departure.
Offensively, Trey Ward and Trent Van Winckle each doubled for West.
West Salem next takes the field at Southridge on Wednesday, March 16th. This will be the Titans’ first road contest of the year.
Following the loss West sits at 0-1 on the season.
