With a 6-1 victory over Forest Grove on Thursday the Titans reclaimed their spot atop the GVC throne after a one year absence. As has been the case throughout the season, West used standout pitching, solid defense, and timely hitting to down the Vikings in the final league contest of the year. The Titans finish out league with a 13-3 record, which is tied for tops in the conference with South Salem. West, however, claims the league's top spot by virtue of a season sweep of the Saxons.
This is the seventh league title for West Salem baseball and the fourth championship in the last six years.

- The Titans look to keep the season rolling when they square off in a non-league affair Thursday, May 17th at Clackamas High School. The Cavaliers are currently ranked #3 in the state, with West hot on their heels at #4.
- The state playoffs will begin on Monday, May 21st. The playoff bracket will be released on OSAA.org no later than 9:00 AM on Friday, May 18th.
